Gutmann Laboratory Researcher Receives McDonnell Center Grant

Yuan-Pan

Yuan Pan, PhD

Yuan Pan, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of David H. Gutmann, MD, PhD, was awarded a grant from the McDonnell Center for Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology to continue her research on NF1-associated high-grade gliomas.
High-grade gliomas are malignant brain tumors that occur more frequently in people with NF1. Dr. Pan is exploring new strategies to inhibit the growth of these tumor cells. In this study, she plans to study the mechanisms by which immune system molecules, called chemokines, control high-grade glioma growth.
We are delighted that the McDonnell Center for Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology is supporting this important work.
