Elizabeth Wright-Jin, MD, PhD recently joined the research laboratory of NF Center Director, David H. Gutmann, MD, PhD, as a postdoctoral research fellow. Dr. Wright-Jin completed her MD and PhD training at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine under the mentorship of Robert Heuckeroth, MD, PhD, where she worked on the impact of retinoids and mitochondria on enteric (gut) nervous system development. She is currently a Resident Physician in the Division of Pediatric Neurology on the Neuroscience Track.
As a Pediatric Neurologist treating children with NF1 and other neurodevelopmental disorders, Dr. Wright-Jin will be focusing on the impact of NF1 germline genetics and sex on brain immune system cells (microglia).
