Dr. Yunshuo “Caroline” Tang, MD, PhD, was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Ophthalmology. This is a major milestone in the career of a faculty member at Washington University, signifying excellence in research and outstanding clinical contributions. Dr. Tang is an emerging leader in the investigation of mechanism of neural injury and visual loss due to Neurofibromatosis type 1-associated optic pathway glioma (NF1-OPG). She has leveraged these findings to develop preclinical trial pipelines of neuroprotective agents for children with NF1-OPG-associated vision loss.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Tang on this well-deserved accolade.
