Club NF Penguin Encounter!

October 5, 2019
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Saint Louis Zoo, 1 Government Drive, St. Louis, MO 63110

The Washington University NF Center and St. Louis Children’s Hospital invite you to attend our upcoming Club NF event, a FREE therapy and educational program for children with NF1.

Join us on Saturday, October 5, at The Saint Louis Zoo. Our adventure includes a behind-the-scenes penguin encounter (where we learn about conservation and animal care), games and an animal enrichment craft. These activities target and promote development of the following skills often delayed in children with NF1:

  • Fine motor skills including handwriting, tying shoes, getting
dressed and organizing a school binder
  • Executive function skills such as following multiple step directions,
and finishing homework and school projects
  • Social skills to enable your child to speak in a group, initiate
conversation, make eye contact and boost confidence

Space for this event is very limited, so RSVP as soon as possible. Due to the limited amount of space, siblings may not be able to attend our activities. Please note the start and end times below, as this event runs longer than most of our Club NF events.
