FuNFest and Forward Strides 2022

Originally published in the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation Newsletter.

This year marked the 7th year for Forward Strides 4NF and the 12th year for FuNFest, two community events whose proceeds benefit patients at St. Louis Children’s Hospital through the Neurofibromatosis (NF) Center at Washington University. NF is a condition that causes tumors to form in the brain, spinal cords and nerves. Forward Strides, hosted by the Wilburn family, is an awareness walk and FuNFest, hosted by the Walk family, is a family fun day at the Fayette County Fairgrounds. Both families have personally been affected by NF and together have raised more than $350,000 for NF research.
