Teen NF is a program for teenagers (ages 13 – 18) who have a diagnosis of NF1 and are interested in strengthening their interpersonal relationships at home, school and in their communities. The goal of this fourteen-week program is to work in a small peer group focusing on common challenging social situations that teens are likely to encounter today. Topics include how to:

  • Use appropriate conversational skills
  • Enter and exit conversations between peers
  • Use electronic communication
  • Choose appropriate friends
  • Handle arguments with peers

Program staff includes Dr. Kimberly Sirl, PhD, Dr. Stacey Berry, PsyD, Dr. Suzanne Thompson, PhD and Kirsten Brouillet.
